CODE Live New Media and Technology Art Feb 4 to 21, 2010

Code Live is an 18-day, landmark event with visual art exhibitions, music and performances in Vancouver, B.C. It begins February 4 and runs through February 21st. It is part of CODE, Cultural Olympiad’s digital edition.

Bridging

All the CODE projects have been developed with a view to enhancing the public’s involvement with art and creativity, encouraging people to connect, create and collaborate. In the case of CODE Live, the curatorial theme of “bridging” intertwines ideas of immersion, culture, tradition, oral history and perception with the body politic, materiality, movement, environment, ecology, space, telepresence, community, artificial intelligence and participation.

The whimsical beauty of these contemporary works is that they give the audience the opportunity to both perceive and experience. The installations and works of art in CODE Live persuasively investigate the interconnectedness within the scope of humanity and technology today.
