Key Areas Covered – Skillset, Mindset, Community and Mentoring:
1) Skillset
Being competent at what you do. This can include sales skill, accounting and legal knowledge, effectiveness of your trade, skill with your instrument or sport, communication skills, management and leadership-ability, knowledge of software, understanding of technical information, etc.
2) Mindset
Your attitude, outlook, intention, energy, self-talk. Your desire, belief, expectancy. Your beliefs about success, about yourself, about money, about life. How convicted and driven you are . How strong your “why reason” is.
3) Community
Having a group of like-minded people around you. People that you can share ideas with. People with whom you can share victories, and shoulders for you to cry on too. People that can support you when you’re struggling, and share resources with. These are the people that are “taking the journey” with you, whether that means your direct business parter, or simply an emotional support like a parent or friend.
4) Coaching / Mentoring
Having someone to show you the way. They can’t walk *for* you, but they can certainly tell you where to step. If someone has gone specifically where you want to go, and knows exactly what steps are quicksand, and which steps are sure-footing, wouldn’t you prefer to step on sure ground rather than drown in quicksand? In the real world, quicksand is equivalent to lost money, time, energy, frustration, disappointment, pain, and loss. You don’t need to make every mistake – someone else has already figured it out *before* you! It’s not possible to over-emphasize the importance of getting solid Coaching.
